Freedom Mobile Sets End Date for Canada-US-Mexico Promo Plans

Videotron’s Freedom Mobile has now set an end date for its Canada-US-Mexico promo plans.
The Freedom Mobile website states January 27 as the last day to get the following Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans:
- $35/50GB
- $45/75GB + 10GB Roam Beyond
- $55/100GB + 20GB Roam Beyond
- $29/10GB
The January 27 end date is the same date posted by Telus-owned Public Mobile as the final chance to get its 4G plans as well. But Public Mobile hasn’t set an end date for its Canada-US-Mexico plans. We think it will do so shortly to copy Freedom Mobile (just a hunch…).
Last July, Freedom Mobile put pressure on Rogers, Telus and Bell by launching its first Canada-US-Mexico roaming plan, then eventually extending the latter across the board.
It’s clear that Black Friday is the best time to get a new wireless deal, plus Boxing Day is a final chance if you missed out.
It’s likely Freedom Mobile will be increasing prices, but Canada-US-Mexico roaming will remain. We’ve reached out to the carrier for clarification and will update this story accordingly.
Update January 24: A Freedom Mobile spokesperson confirmed to iPhone in Canada the promo pricing is ending, not Canada-US-Mexico roaming.

I snagged their 75gb for $35 a month and absolutely love the savings and the fact that I can use my phone not only in Canada, US and Mexico but I also get 10gb's and unlimited talk/text a month in 100 countries! I am saving money compared to when I was with Rogers. Rogers obviously had a superior network however Freedom's network is definitely decent. When I don't get Freedom's home network, I automatically switch to their Nationwide network! A win-win!
