Public Mobile Just Switched Up its 4G Plans, Yet Again
Telus-owned Public Mobile continues to tweak and revamp its 4G plan pricing and on Monday, it did some minor changes to revisions we told you about last week.
For 4G Canada-wide plans, the $23 plan with 4GB (it was increased from 1GB last week) has been eliminated. Instead, a new $24 plan takes its place, at $1 more than before. But now there’s a new $20/1GB plan as well:
- $19/month for 500MB
- $20/month for 1GB (new)
- $24/month for 4GB (new); $1 increase
- $27/month for 6GB
- $32/month for 20GB
It’s clear Public Mobile is offering up a variety of dizzying price points to force consumers to pick the best (or more expensive plan) plan that offers better value. Why not just pay a few bucks more to get more data, right?
For 5G plans, the rates as of today are as follows:
- $29/month for 10GB (Canada-US) + 100 international minutes
- $35/month for 60GB (Canada-US-Mexico) + 500 international minutes
- $45/month for 80GB (Canada-US-Mexico) + 1000 international minutes
- $55/month for 100GB (Canada-US-Mexico) + 1000 international minutes
Who knows what’s coming next, but we’ll continue to share with you all the changes.
