You Can Now Buy Apple’s iPhone 16e in Canada from $899

Apple has officially launched its iPhone 16e in Canada, now available from Apple stores and its website, plus from carriers Rogers, Telus, Bell, Freedom Mobile and more.
“iPhone 16e joins the iPhone 16 family as its most affordable member, featuring breakthrough battery life, the fast performance of the A18 chip, Apple Intelligence,1 and an integrated high-resolution 48MP 2-in-1 camera system,” is how Apple described the new ‘entry’ phone today in a press release.
The iPhone 16e starts from $899 in Canada, a huge price increase compared to the previous iPhone SE 3 that started from $579. Apple is hedging with a 1.50 exchange rate right now compared to US pricing.
Apple says its Trade-in program can offer you up to $165 credit if you trade in an iPhone 11, while you can also get the iPhone 16e on financing with 0% APR.
You might be better off paying a bit extra for a certified refurbished iPhone 16 series from Rogers and Fido as there’s a sale right now. You’ll get a better phone for about a $100 more.
Did you buy an iPhone 16e or are planning to?
