Rogers looks to be targeting its prepaid brand Chatr with a migration offer, to get customers of the latter to switch over to a postpaid plan.
The text message sent out late this week, and seen by iPhone in Canada, touts, “Switch to a Rogers plan with a monthly bill for only $35/mo. after a $5 bill credit for 24 months!”.
The plan offers 100GB of data at speeds of up to 250 Mbps, along with unlimited nationwide talk, text and data, to go with unlimited texts and calls to the USA as well. It says there’s a “bonus” of 1,000 international long distance minutes from Canada to selection countries for 24 months.
For those jumping on this Rogers migration offer now, you can get your first month of Rogers service free.
To put this offer into perspective, the Rogers website is offering an online-only deal of a $50 plan with 100GB of data right now. So the $35 plan is $15 cheaper per month.
To jump on the offer, you can bring your own phone or get a new one through Rogers financing. The text says to call 1-866-622-7555, or visit a Chatr or Rogers locations to jump on the offer.
