Public Mobile Launches Cheaper 20GB Plan for Limited Time

Telus-owned Public Mobile has launched a new cheaper 4G nationwide plan with 20GB of data.

As of today, a new $26/20GB 4G plan has debuted, which offers talk, text and data within Canada. The plan previously was priced at $27 (so yes, it dropped $1) and only had 6GB of data. But now it has 14GB more for 20GB total.

Here are Public Mobile’s 5G Plans (Canada-US-Mexico) as of today, March 27 (no major changes):

• $29/20GB + 100 international minutes (ends March 31)
• $35/60GB + 500 international minutes (end date March 27)
• $45/100GB + 1000 international minutes (end date March 27)

Here are Public Mobile’s 4G Plans (all Canada-wide) as of today:

• $19/1GB  
• $24/4GB
• $26/20GB (NEW; was $27/6GB) Ends March 31

Looking at Freedom Mobile, it has as $29/6GB 5G plan with Canada-US-Mexico. So while Public Mobile’s $26 plan is cheaper, it lacks 5G and US and Mexico roaming.
