Rogers Debuts 175GB Canada-US Plan, Telus Prices Go Up

Earlier this week, Bell revamped its plans list with price increases across the board, seeing jump from $16 to $20 per month as “promos” came to and end.

Bell’s plans after autopay right now are as follows:

  • $65/100GB 5G+
  • $95/250GB 5G+ Canada-US-Mexico

Now, Rogers has tweaked one of its plans to now include Canada-US talk, text and data for its $75/175GB plan. If you’re on the plan without new US roaming, it’s time to call in and make the switch.

Rogers plans after autopay discount are below:

  • $65/100GB
  • $75/175GB Canada-US (new)
  • $95/250GB Canada-US-Mexico

Of course, Telus isn’t far behind its rivals as it also increased its prices this week from $5 to $10, while also reducing the data on its $75 plan by 20GB.

Telus plans after autopay discount are below:

  • $55/100GB (was $60; up $5)
  • $65/100GB (was 125GB; loses 25GB)
  • $75/150GB Canada-US (was $70; up $5)
  • $90/250GB Canada-US-Mexico (was $80/200GB; up $10)

We’re seeing Bell and Rogers have the same $65 and $95 plans. Telus undercuts with a cheaper 100GB plan, while its Canada-US-Mexico plan is also $5 less.

Expect these plans to eventually see more parity as the days and weeks go on.

Why do they keep increasing my bill to way more than current offers with even more data .. are they banking on the fact people aren't going to notice, and not switch providers? I'm sure people get tired of jumping back and forth every year or 2… That's unethical… I wish we had some governing body to slap these telecom companies back in place when they get greedy, due to the monopoly… What a 🤡 🎪

Im talking about YOU pay what you want to pay. Just because they increase the price without you agreeing to it don’t mean you have to pay. Just keep paying the agreed apon price. Tell them that’s what your budget was for when you agreed to it. Get it escalated and the upper management will keep it the same or lower it..that’s my experience.

why waste my time doing that when I can just switch carriers to a cheaper plan and get more data… Which I shouldn’t have to do neither..

True you shouldn’t have to do that but it’s how you deal with these terrible carriers..its what works..
