Google Expands Gemini AI to Watches, Cars, TVs, and Headsets

At The Android Show I/O Edition today, Google announced that Gemini AI is expanding beyond phones to more Android devices including smartwatches, cars, TVs, and even headsets. Gemini is clearly taking over and will be available everywhere.
On Wear OS smartwatches, Gemini will soon let users set reminders, get restaurant recommendations, or answer questions by speaking naturally, all without needing to pull out a phone. The rollout is expected in the coming months.
In cars, Gemini will come to Android Auto and vehicles with Google built-in. Drivers will be able to ask for directions, find nearby stops like charging stations and parks, or summarize and translate messages, all hands-free. The feature will first reach Android Auto-supported cars, then later expand to other vehicles. Having Gemini in the car will be extremely helpful. Apple’s Siri within CarPlay remains pretty underwhelming and that Siri AI revamp can’t come soon enough.
On TVs, later this year, Gemini will arrive on Google TV. Users will be able to ask for movie suggestions or help answer kids’ questions by pulling up YouTube videos and information in real time, which will be super useful.
For headsets and glasses, Google says Gemini will integrate with the upcoming Android XR platform, developed in partnership with Samsung. The first headset is expected later this year, allowing users to plan trips, explore destinations with immersive maps and videos, and build itineraries in minutes.
Gemini will also extend to earbuds from brands like Sony and Samsung, offering on-the-go assistance across more devices.
