Telus has launched a new entertainment bundle in parts of Ontario and Quebec that combines major streaming services with live TV channels.

According to a company announcement, the new service allows customers to customize packages that include platforms like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV+ along with core TV channels.

“At Telus, our customers are the centre of every innovation we deliver,” said Zainul Mawji, Executive Vice-president and President, Telus Consumer Solutions, in an issued statement. “With this launch, Telusbecomes the only provider in Canada to offer customizable entertainment bundles. This gives customers a more flexible, affordable and convenient way to enjoy the content they love, combining the best in global streaming with the most popular live TV channels.”

The company says the move responds to the growing trend of Canadian households subscribing to multiple streaming services, which averages 2.6 platforms per home. Telus claims it is the first Canadian provider to offer this type of combined plan.

The bundle uses the Telus TV Digital Box, which brings streaming apps, live TV, and on-demand content into one interface. Customers can manage all services from a single platform.

As for pricing? It’s cheaper if you’re an existing Telus customers and agree to a two-year term, of course.

Streaming and Live TV with PureFibre Internet is $185/month if you’re not with Telus and want to go month-to-month. It’s $205/month if you open for the premium option that has more premium choices and includes one theme pack.

Telus customer pricing for the above is a discounted $55 and $75 per month. Two-year pricing takes it down to $45 and $60 per month, along with 24 months of free Amazon Prime membership.

The launch comes as Telus continues to expand its footprint in Eastern Canada. The company also promotes its PureFibre internet, which it says offers fast speeds and reliable connections over a 100% fibre optic network.

We told you earlier today with this launch, the Telus Rewards program is now also available in Eastern Canada.

Suggest they fix their support call lines 1st, as they suck! Waiting 2+hrs to talk with an agent is not acceptable!!

Telus doesn't have any pure fiber in eastern Canada. It is reselling Bell's fiber internet. And all streaming apps in one interface?? That's been around for many years!
