Last week Freedom Mobile announced it was the new presenting sponsor at the Calgary Stampede’s Grandstand Show, and now the wireless carrier is again offering a promo to go alongside the annual event.
A Freedom Mobile spokesperson told iPhone in Canada there’s a $45/month plan with 200GB of data available in Calgary, as part of a promo for the Stampede. The special deal is not advertised online, but it is available at Freedom Mobile retail stores across Calgary. Current plans only offer up to 150GB on Freedom’s website, priced at $69/month (but also includes Canada-US-Mexico and 30GB Roam Beyond).
“Stampede plan. Rodeo-sized,” reads the promo for the plan, which includes nationwide talk, text and data.
Freedom Mobile says if customers buy a plan at their store at the Stampede, they can get a $10/month discount for 20 months on the $49/80GB Canada-US-Mexico bring your own phone plan, taking it down to $39/80GB for 20 months.
The Calgary Stampede kicked off on July 4 and goes until July 13.
