Freedom Mobile Gives All Customers Free Canada-U.S.-Mexico Roaming

Freedom Mobile is expanding Canada-U.S.-Mexico data coverage to all monthly plans starting December 8, 2026, giving more than 500,000 customers additional roaming benefits without increasing their monthly bills.

The carrier announced the change on November 5, confirming that eligible customers will automatically have their existing recurring data converted to Canada-U.S.-Mexico data. Monthly prices and data allotments will remain unchanged.

This means customers will be able to use their included data while travelling across Canada, the United States and Mexico without paying daily roaming fees or switching SIM cards.

Freedom already offers Canada-U.S.-Mexico coverage through its Total Freedom plans. The latest announcement extends that benefit across its entire monthly plan lineup.

“As Canadians continue to look for greater value from their wireless provider, we’re proud to keep delivering more for our customers,” said Jean Péladeau, Freedom Mobile’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, in a statement on Thursday to iPhone in Canada. “While many feel stuck paying more for less with other providers, Freedom is reinforcing its commitment to making wireless truly worry-free.”

The announcement comes as Freedom continues to expand its wireless offerings. Parent company Quebecor reported record growth fuelled by Freedom Mobile and Fizz in its third-quarter earnings on November 5, 2026.

Freedom has also been competing with Rogers, Telus and Bell on pricing and included benefits. A recent comparison of Canadian wireless plans for November 2026 examined offers from all four carriers.

Ahead of Black Friday, Freedom also introduced a targeted winback offer providing 200GB for $30 CAD per month on October 30, 2026.

Beyond the latest roaming upgrade, Freedom continues to promote its Price Freeze Promise, which is intended to protect customers from increases to their monthly plan prices.

The carrier also includes 5G+ access with its monthly plans and offers roaming in more than 120 destinations without daily roaming fees.

For existing monthly customers, the December 8 change means eligible plans will include data usage across three North American countries without requiring a plan upgrade or an increase in monthly spending.
