iPhone 17 Lineup Leak: Dummy Units Hint at New Design

Leaker Majin Bu has shared recently what looks to be our best look at Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup to date.

Dummy units used by case makers were shared by Bu on Monday morning, showcasing the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 ‘Air’, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Check it out below:

Again, the iPhone 17 ‘Air’ and the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max design on the back resembles what we’re seeing from Google’s Pixel designs.

Another render shared by Bu on the weekend shows the new lower Apple logo on the back, moved lower to accommodate revamped MagSafe charging magnets. We see the iPhone 17 Pro lineup in some clear cases, likely renders created by a case maker:

Look back almost a year, here’s a picture that compares the iPhone 16 Pro and alleged iPhone 17 Pro design. We see the back camera area is now spread across the back along with the flash, while the Apple logo has shifted lower:

Apple is rumoured to again debut its new iPhone 17 lineup this September. These design changes aren’t revolutionary, but the iPhone 17 ‘Air’ is supposed to be a very thin design, similar to what Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is like. Just don’t put these thin phones in your back pocket when you sit down, as that’s going to be an expensive mistake.
