Google has just released a surprise Pixel Drop for July, following up on last month’s feature-packed June Pixel Feature Drop that introduced Android 16, new accessibility tools, and more customization options. This unexpected update brings some exciting new capabilities for Pixel owners — particularly those with the latest hardware.
The biggest highlight of this Pixel Drop is the debut of Veo 3 for Pixel 9 Pro users. As part of the update, Pixel 9 Pro owners are getting a complimentary one-year subscription to Google AI Pro, unlocking the latest Gemini app features — including Veo 3. This advanced tool lets users simply describe a concept and have it transformed into a high-quality, short video, complete with realistic audio. It’s a powerful creative feature that further showcases Google’s AI strengths.
Google is also enhancing Circle to Search, the popular visual lookup tool that debuted earlier this year. A new AI Mode — available in the U.S. and India for now (sorry, Canada) — now lets users ask follow-up questions about whatever they see on-screen, offering a more in-depth experience.
In addition, Circle to Search is getting a gamer-friendly boost with in-game help, a feature that was first spotted in Google app code back in January. Players can now access guides and tutorial videos — timestamped to exactly where they are in a mobile game — without leaving the app.
That’s not all, though. Gemini is also making its way to the Pixel Watch. Users will now be able to access Google’s advanced AI assistant right from their wrists, bringing even more convenience and hands-free assistance to WearOS.
