Telus Debuts 150GB Global Roaming Plan—Here’s How to Sign Up

Telus has introduced a new $70/month EPP (Employee Purchase Program) mobile plan that includes 150GB of shareable high-speed data available in global destinations. This is the first time we’ve seen Telus offer a global roaming plan (besides just the US, Mexico and Caribbean) and it looks to follow in the footsteps of Rogers.

While the Rogers global roaming plan is only available in Quebec (launched in April), the Telus EPP plan looks to be widely available nationwide, according to those sharing the deal on RFD.

The “5G+ Premium Unlimited CAN-GLOBAL” plan includes unlimited data, talk, and text in Canada and 68 international destinations, with data speeds up to 2Gbps. The monthly $70 rate is of course after a $10 discount for pre-authorized debit payments.

Here are the 68 destinations: The U.S. (including areas of Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, NETHERLANDS ANTILLES, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Fiji, Germany, Greece, Guyana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Turks & Caicos, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and the UK.

Compared to Rogers? Back in June, its global roaming plan was down to $60 with 220GB of data to use in 70 countries, so the Telus plan has some work to do.

How to get a Telus EPP plan? You need to check if your employer is signed up as part of the Telus EPP program, which is offered to employees as a perk.

If you’re a business traveller or travel frequently, this global roaming plan makes it easy as you don’t need to bother with eSIMs or getting a local phone plan, but instead can just use your Telus plan (and not have to pay $16/day for Easy Roam international coverage).

I'm currently with Telus and I was just looking into the Rogers version of this plan last week. From my research and all of the people I spoke to at multiple Rogers stores, the $60 price tag with Rogers isn't available to everyone and really depends on who you're fortunate enough to contact. I know some people who've said they got it for $65, but for most it'll also be $70 BYOD, or $80 plus the device if you also need a phone.

hope this plan price drops to $60 or less, at $70 it is still too expensive.

Pretty decent plan but I personally would never return to Telus, their network in the area's I use it most are terrible (Ontario). I could have close to a full signal and apps wouldn't open and websites would just spool. Since moving my service to Rogers I have not experienced these issues while using the same phone.
