Google Drops First Look at Pixel 10 Ahead of August Launch

Pixel 10 render.

Google just gave everyone a sneak peek at the upcoming Pixel 10—even though the phone isn’t officially launching until August 20. Yes, this is an official render from Google.

A new video quietly appeared on the Google Store today (both the Canadian and US store), showing off the back of the Pixel 10. At first glance, it doesn’t look too different from last year’s Pixel 9, keeping the same overall shape and signature camera bar (the sides and back look like an iPhone, but Apple is rumoured to copy the camera car).

Check it out below:

The phone clearly features three rear cameras, an LED flash, and what might be a temperature sensor—a setup nearly identical to the Pixel 9 Pro.

This early reveal could be Google’s way of getting ahead of the leaks, which have been circulating online showing the Pixel 10 in less-than-flattering lighting. Just today, Android Headlines published what it claims are press images, showing the Pixel 10 in four colour options and also suggesting the base model will now get three cameras too.

Google has done this kind of thing before. In past years, it released official photos of its Pixel phones before launch, likely to build hype and take control of the narrative as leakers continue to share everything about these phones ahead of time. The render again looks good and sets expectations ahead of the August reveal.

The full reveal is still set for August 20 in New York. We might also see a new Pixel Watch 4 and foldable Pixel 10 Pro. Stay tuned, folks.

Pixel is for those people who don't like to have a local service centre and have several working phones available when their Pixel gets mailed for warranty repair.

And what? 🙂
I’ve been using Google phones since the Nexus days, and so have my parents — not once have we had a single problem.

I had a Pixel 3a, and it’s one of the best phones I’ve had. I likely would go back to Google Pixel after my iPhone 15.
