How to Watch Today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and What to Expect

Rounding out the month of July, Nintendo is hosting a Direct dedicated to its third-party partners and publishers. The upcoming Partner Showcase promises new announcements and information on upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games.
Nintendo announced yesterday that the upcoming Direct will be “roughly 25 minutes” in length and will take place at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT. After the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, many fans have been eager about the prospect of a Nintendo Direct, outlining the rest of the calendar year for the console.
There are still a lot of glaring questions regarding known first-party games, like Metroid Prime 4‘s release date. However, another question on the minds of many fans revolves around partnering publishers. Now that the Nintendo Switch 2 is out and running performance-intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, what are the other sort of marquee AAA games the Nintendo Switch 2 could support?
It’s also likely that now that Nintendo Switch 2 has officially launched, the company is likely more open to giving developers dev kits of the console. This means more third-party partners are able to port existing games to the system. It also means third-party studios can build exclusive titles for Nintendo Switch 2 more easily moving forward.
This will be the crux of the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. Fans will soon see which third-party studios are working on bringing beloved and new games to Nintendo Switch 2 (and the original Nintendo Switch in some cases). We already know the Nintendo Switch 2 has some solid support from third-party partners, including games like Borderlands 4, 007 First Light, and From Software’s exclusive title, The Duskbloods.
Of course, everyone is waiting on bated breath to see if Hollow Knight: Silksong will be shown in any capacity, ahead of arriving on the showroom floor at Gamescom.
The live stream will be held on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel. You can tune in below, starting at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT.

It’s also worth noting that the Nintendo Direct is happening on the last day before price increases hit Nintendo Switch consoles, games, Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions and accessories in Canada. Price increases on everything excluding Nintendo Switch 2 consoles and Switch 2 software will go into effect on Friday, August 1st.
