Rogers Xfinity Just Got New Major Streaming Apps: What’s New
Rogers is giving its Xfinity TV customers a streaming upgrade, as four major streaming apps—CBC Gem, ICI TOU.TV, Paramount+, and DAZN—are now available. The company says this means more free Canadian content, global blockbusters, and live sports, all accessible with just the Xfinity voice remote.
We previously told you earlier this month CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV was added to Xfinity, but today’s announcement makes it official.
CBC Gem brings Canadian TV hits like Heartland, The Great Canadian Baking Show, and Murdoch Mysteries, plus over 400 documentaries and movies. It also includes CBC News shows like The National and Marketplace. If you want ad-free viewing and live access to CBC News Network, you can upgrade to Gem Premium.
For French-language viewers, ICI TOU.TV adds a wide mix of original series, dramas, films, and local news from Radio-Canada. It also features partner content from networks in Quebec and France. Both CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV will be key platforms for live coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics and qualifying events leading up to it.
Sports fans now have access to DAZN through their Rogers set-top box. That includes every NFL game via NFL Game Pass, plus UEFA Champions League, LIV Golf, Bundesliga, and major boxing events.
Paramount+ rounds out the lineup with big-name shows and movies. That includes Yellowstone, Tulsa King, South Park, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and upcoming originals like Dexter: Resurrection and NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
Rogers says the goal is to make it easier for Canadians to stream what they want without needing to switch devices or hunt for apps.
