Koodo Hits Prepaid Customers with Price Hike in September

Telus-owned Koodo looks to be increasing the prices of its plans for prepaid customers.

According to a text message sent to Koodo customers, the company says prices are going to jump in September.

“Heads up! We have an update about your plan. Starting September 15, 2025, the price of your 30-day plan will increase by $3, going from $15 to $18 on your next renewal date,” reads one text message received. Besides the price increase, no other features are offered.

That’s a 20% price hike. Most people on prepaid are those on low incomes or seniors.

Koodo says prepaid customers can log into self-serve online to check out other options.

Recently, Koodo made changes to its booster add-ons, adding an expiry date, when previously they could just stay in your account until you used them. The boosters now have an expiry of 15 or 30 days, depending on what is purchased.

Yes I did and it is all BS. 911 services have been with us since 2011. Now we the customer have to foot the bill.
Also to add insult to injury I can't buy exactly $18/month.
