Google has announced the Pixel Watch 4, a major update to its smartwatch lineup, adding a brighter curved display, longer battery life, new health tools, and support for emergency satellite communication. The watch debuted alongside the new Pixel 10 series smartphones and the Pixel 10 Fold.
The Pixel Watch 4 keeps its circular design but introduces a new Actua 360 domed display, which is 10% larger with slimmer bezels. It can reach 3000 nits brightness, making it easier to see outdoors. The watch uses Gorilla Glass and aluminum for durability, and for the first time, both the battery and display are replaceable, which makes repair easy.
Battery life is 30 hours on the 41mm model and 40 hours on the 45mm model, with Battery Saver extending that to two or three days. The new Quick Charge Dock can charge from 0–50% in just 15 minutes. It’s nice the dock will have the watch face you as it charges, so on your bedside stand it can act as a clock too. Inside, it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip with a co-processor that improves efficiency while using less power.
The LTE model is the first smartwatch with standalone emergency satellite support. It can connect to geostationary satellites to reach emergency services when you’re outside cell coverage.

Google is introducing a personal AI health coach, powered by Gemini. It provides tailored fitness and sleep advice based on data from the watch. A preview will launch in the U.S. this October in the updated Fitbit app.
The watch includes Smart Replies for quick messaging and Raise to Talk, which activates Gemini by lifting your wrist.
