SaskTel Outage Hits Saskatchewan, But 9-1-1 Still Online

SaskTel is dealing with a province-wide issue that is disrupting cell phone calling services, including for its Business IBC customers.

In a statement, the company said on X, “There is an issue affecting Cellular calling service. We are working to fix this as quickly as possible and will update this post when more information is available.”

SaskTel says emergency calls are not affected, while the crown corporation confirmed that 9-1-1 continues to function normally.

The Regina Police Service also said it is affected by the outage. “RPS is currently affected by the province-wide Sasktel service outage. This does not include 9-1-1. If you are experiencing an emergency please call 9-1-1,” the police service said.

No timeline has been given for when service will be fully restored. Stay tuned and let us know if your SaskTel cellular service is working or not.
