Apple Offers iPhone 17 Series 0% Financing in Canada

Apple has gone back and forth on iPhone financing rates in recent years. In 2021, Canadian customers could finance not just iPhones but also iPads and Macs at 0% interest.
That changed in 2023, when Apple raised its rates ahead of the iPhone 15 launch, bringing iPhone financing up to 7.99% APR over 24 months—a jump that mirrored higher borrowing costs at the time.
Earlier this spring, Apple reversed course for iPhone buyers. The company, through its partner Affirm, is once again offering 24-month financing at 0% APR. That means Canadians can spread out the cost of a new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone Air over two years without paying interest.
Other Apple products still carry interest: iPads can be financed at 4.99% over 12 months, Apple Watch at 4.99% over 12 months, and Macs and Apple Vision Pro at 7.99% over 24 months. Back in 2023, Mac financing sat at 4.99%, but that has since risen.
Financing an iPhone at 0% APR has clear advantages—it spreads out the cost into manageable monthly payments without charging extra interest, which can free up cash for other expenses or let buyers opt for higher-storage models more comfortably.
Apple hasn’t said whether it plans to extend 0% financing to its other products, but the move on iPhones could signal a push to drive upgrades this year, especially with the “redesigned” iPhone 17 lineup and the new iPhone Air.
