Here’s Apple iPhone 17, Air, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max Canadian Pricing

Apple just completed its September special event, unveiling its highly anticipated iPhone 17 series, including the super thin iPhone Air that nobody really asked for.
Here’s pricing by product, starting with the iPhone 17 (Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White, Black):
- 256GB – $1129
- 512GB – $1429
This is a price drop as last year’s 256GB cost $1279. 512GB also was $1579 for the iPhone 16.
iPhone Air (Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, Space Black)
- 256GB – $1449
- 512GB – $1749
- 1TB – $2049
iPhone 17 Pro (Silver, Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue)
- 256GB – $1599
- 512GB – $1899
- 1TB – $2199
Prices are the same as last year’s iPhone 16 Pro which is a good thing.
iPhone 17 Pro Max (Silver, Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue)
- 256GB – $1749
- 512GB – $2049
- 1TB – $2349
- 2TB – $2949
Prices again are the same for the iPhone 17 Pro Max like last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Yes, the 2TB option for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is $2,949 and is a whopping $3,302.88 in B.C. after PST and GST. Have we reached peak insanity for a smartphone? One great thing is 128GB has been eliminated at 256GB is the new norm, finally.

My god, $1749 for the base Pro Max… Guess I'll keep my 13 Pro Max for another year!
You’re taken aback at the price, when it’s exactly the same as last year’s 16 pro max at launch?
The iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB was 1550$ when it launched in 2021.
I guess it’s not too bad then, considering the base model is 256GB…
I’ll be getting an iPhone 17 Pro Max, probably 1TB. Wish there was a black.
If you think these prices are insane, just wait for the iPhone fold next year!! 😂
iPhone 17 pro max in orange for me. Despite no more black, man I love that orange color.
Doesnt it say 0% financing again?
Still 500$ too expensive. Canada also needs phones that START at 799$
They do .. in real dollars! I’m not defending the prices as they basically build them with slave labour.
Trump is pretty much deflating Canada’s dollar. but Carney is helping him do it (just wait until the they’e made in a US factory)!
I might buy the 17 PM now to avoid that possibility as it will likely last longer than I will, while my 13PM might not, even with a new battery!
These prices have nothing to do with trump. They’ve been this high for years
I was speaking in part of the greater and persistent weakness of CAD vs USD and the potential for truly exorbitant iPhone prices in Canada if/when Apple begins US production .
Unless I was dreaming, I heard Apple just invested many billions of dollars in anticipation of US manufacturing. so don’t know why Trump would exempt iPhones in his economic war with Canada; but perhaps you do?
I suppose Trump could be dead or out of office before anything is ready for production … who knows. It was just speculation on my part (except for the weakest CAD in years).
CAD is up vs USD compared to two years ago. Try again.
A very cursory search brought up the following on the first hit/summation. As I don’t know why you’re arguing and being an ass, I’ll just quote the search result re the recent US effect on the CAD. Thanks for reminding me I’d why I quit commenting as much.
“Yes, the Canadian dollar has generally weakened since Donald Trump’s election, primarily due to concerns over U.S. trade policies and tariffs, which have negatively impacted Canadian exports and economic competitiveness. This trend has been marked by fluctuations in the exchange rate, with the loonie experiencing notable declines against the U.S. dollar during his presidency.”
WTH are you trying to prove? I said •persistently• low re the Canadian dollar vs USD.
I live in Canada and while I don’t check US->CAD every day, I do check quite frequently
I’m not into arguing further or posting charts, so did a quick and very cursory search after your “try again” insult.
The search brought up this info on the first hit and it rings true to my experience.
The information is scraped from the Back of Canada and legitimate Canadian business websites….not out of thin air or my imagination.

…Despite some recent gains, the overall trajectory since Trump's election has been downward.”
I forgot why I stopped commenting so much for a minute; but you just reminded me.
