Bell Wireless Roaming Not Working Outside of Canada? [Update]
If you’re a Bell wireless customer and you’re roaming with your cellphone plan outside of Canada, you might be running into your talk, text and data not working.
According to Bell, this is an issue they are now aware of and a fix is underway.
“Some wireless customers using their service outside of Canada may be experiencing issues due to a technical problem. Our teams are actively working to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” said Bell on Monday afternoon.
Losing access to talk, text and data on your cellphone while travelling can be a major pain. You might not be able to get 2-factor codes by text message, preventing you from logging into online accounts such as banking.
Bell currently has a Canada-US-Mexico plan for $80/month and a global roaming plan for $95 per month with 250GB of data (but only 10GB for roaming internationally).
One way to bypass the Bell outage is to subscribe to an eSIM plan for data (well, if you can find Wi-Fi) from places like Saily or Airalo.

Update 2:59pm PDT: A Bell spokesperson told iPhone in Canada service has now been restored.
