Watch Tesla FSD 14 Park Itself at Costco Canada—and It’s Scarily Smooth

Tesla has started rolling out its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, version 14.1.3 to Canadians as of today. This new version brings huge improvements over FSD 13 for vehicles that have Hardware 4 (HW4). Hardware 3 (HW3) owners are still stuck with FSD 12, but according to Tesla yesterday, a new “FSD 14 Lite” will be coming next year for HW3 owners.
But more impressive is a previous clip shared by Vancouver FSD tester Devin Olsen, showing FSD 14 leaving the Costco parking lot, which is also known as hell on Earth in the B.C. Lower Mainland.
“FSD V14.1.3 Feels so alive – especially while navigating through busy parking lots. There are a lot of humans that wouldn’t have handled this as well as V14 just did,” said Olsen. The clip below is pretty impressive to see Tesla FSD 14 escape a busy Costco parking lot situation:
Tesla’s FSD setup is pure camera magic, no extra sensors needed. It runs on this ever-growing AI brain that keeps levelling up, pulling in fresh driving clips from millions of cars out there on the road.
FSD 14 introduces a huge leap over version 13, featuring a 10x higher parameter count for enhanced AI capabilities that make the system feel “sentient” and drive more like a human, with significantly reduced driver nagging due to improved real-world safety confidence, according to CEO Elon Musk.

We’ve seen clips where FSD 14 can handle fast food drive thoughs, stopping to let you place an order while rolling down the window, and also managing which pick up window to go to. The new version also pulls over for emergency vehicles.

FSD 14 also has new speed profiles, including “Sloth” and “Mad Max”. Sloth drives at lower speeds and won’t go over the speed limit and is very conservative. As for Mad Max, well it will drive at higher speeds and use more lane changes compared to Hurry.
You can also pick where FSD should park upon arrival, with options for Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, in a Parking Garage, or at the Curbside. Essentially, FSD 14 will use its reasoning model to think about the best options for your destination and choose an intuitive default.

Musk further described FSD 14 as the “biggest improvement” in months, enabling better anticipation of road scenarios like unprotected left turns and cautious decision-making, while Tesla’s official release notes emphasize UI upgrades, dynamic speed profiles, refined arrival options, and proactive brake confirmations for smoother performance.
Here’s a slightly older version of FSD, 14.1.2, put to the test in Manhattan in New York City. The ability of FSD to handle complex scenarios better than human drivers is definitely impressive:

I can do that myself without giving a billionaire more money👍👌
FSD 14 Lite – marketing thought of this 'upgrade' to please those owners with HW3 who cannot use the FSD 14 full version..lol
It’s like the Diet Coke version of FSD!
Or you can buy a car that's not allowing a billionaire to ruin the world you live in, complete with worse fit and finish than anything released in the last 5 decades.
Just a thought
