Apple, Rogers, Telus and Bell Are All Pushing the iPhone 17 Pro Harder Than Ever
What ads have you seen Apple and ‘Big 3’ telecoms here push out in the wild? According to one observation by @BasicAppleGuy, based on ads seen on bus shelters, Apple and the ‘Big 3’ are pushing the iPhone 17 Pro as the device to buy this fall and winter.
“Apple and the carriers seem to be heavily pushing the iPhone 17 Pro. I’ve seen dozens of Pro ads out in the wild, but none for the regular 17 or iPhone Air models,” said @BasicAppleGuy earlier this week. Looking at the photos below taken in Vancouver, you can see pictures of the iPhone 17 Pro and carrier names in the top right corners.
The basic iPhone 17 has been a worthy upgrade over the iPhone 16, but it seems the real money maker is pushing people towards the new iPhone 17 Pro series, which of course costs more.
As for the all-new and ultra-thin iPhone Air, people are saying they haven’t seen many ads for that. Reports have claimed the device has reached “end of production” at Apple suppliers, suggesting the model won’t be sticking around.
Looking at the homepages of ‘Big 3’ telecoms, Rogers is pushing the Pixel 10 under its ‘top deals’ section, while the iPhone 17 is mentioned further down the page. The Telus homepage mentions the iPhone 17, while Bell’s homepage has the iPhone 17 Pro featured prominently at the very top, ahead of the Pixel 10 and its own products. As for Freedom Mobile, it has the iPhone 17 on its homepage beside the Pixel 10.
The iPhone 17 Pro starts from $1,599 in Canada and goes up to a blistering $2,949 for a 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max.
What iPhone did you buy this year? And what iPhone ads have you seen around your area?

I returned the 17 pro for the air. Love the air still.
