Today, The Game Awards has announced the nominees for the 2025 ceremony, including the six ‘Game of the Year’ nominated titles. This is the first major lead-in for The Game Awards, ahead of the event on December 11th.
Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 set records for The Game Awards, having been nominated for 12 total categories, including Game of the Year. This is the most-nominated video game at the award show. For the second year in a row, Sony Interactive Entertainment has led as the most-nominated publisher with 19 nominations, thanks to games like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei.

The Game Awards will once again be held in person at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Dec. 11. The event will also be live-streamed on the aforementioned channels, starting at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. It will be streaming on YouTube, Twitch, and was recently signed a deal to stream on Prime Video.
