If you recently ditched Rogers, get ready for the company to possibly be reaching out with a ‘winback’ offer, essentially a sweetheart deal to lure you back to the company.
Some people are getting calls from Rogers with a pretty wild winback offer: 200GB of 5G/5G+ data for $45 a month, and it works with talk, text and data across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
The plan includes ‘unlimited’ high-speed data up to 1Gbps (reduced speeds after that), plus international texting and full hotspot support. It’s basically a North America plan that acts like you never left home.
According to RFD, the call came from 1-833-378-1353, pitching the offer known as “5G Ultimate NS BYOD” on a billing statement, with the plan available on a month-to-month term.
Last year, we saw a $45/100GB Canada-US ‘winback’ plan from Rogers, so seeing $45/200GB with Canada-US-Mexico is far better than before. Telus also offered a $40/200GB Canada-US winback plan last year, but it did not include Mexico roaming.
The Rogers website has an $85/175GB Canada-US plan and $105/250GB global plan, so $45 is far cheaper than what’s available for everyone right now.
