Google Drops Gemini 3 in Canada: Search Just Got a Major AI Upgrade

Google is bringing its newest AI model, Gemini 3, to Google Search’s AI Mode in Canada, after first launching it in the U.S. last month.
The update lets Canadian users with Google AI Pro ($26.99 CAD/month) or Ultra ($339.99 CAD/month) subscriptions switch to “Thinking” in the model selector to access Gemini 3 Pro, the first release in the Gemini 3 family.
Gemini 3 Pro is built to handle tougher, more layered queries than past models. It can process text, images and other inputs at the same time, and it can break down complicated questions into clearer, more useful results. Google says this leads to more detailed explanations, better reasoning and richer responses for searches that normally require a lot of back-and-forth.
The model also powers new interactive features in Search. When a query needs more than a text answer, AI Mode can generate visual layouts, simple tools, charts or simulations on the spot. These elements appear directly in the Search results instead of sending users off to other pages.
Today, Google says Nano Banana Pro, its upgraded image-generation model that sits on top of Gemini 3 Pro, has expanded to more countries. It can create infographics, diagrams and other visuals by pulling from the same knowledge sources that Search uses.
Nano Banana Pro is now available in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa, South Korea, the United States, and Venezuela.
With this expansion, Canada joins nearly 120 countries where Gemini 3 is now live in English. Subscribers in Canada can start using the model immediately in AI Mode.

Gemini is a major downgrade in terms of language models especially in how it likes to p**s people off with it's arrogance and condescension.
