Bell Pulls the Plug on Virgin Plus Internet and TV Sales in Ontario

Bell is moving ahead with a planned change to its home Internet and TV lineup in Ontario, officially pulling those services from its flanker brand Virgin Plus.

Starting today, January 14, Virgin Plus will no longer accept new home Internet or TV customers in Ontario. The services will continue to be offered in Quebec.

For existing Virgin Plus Internet and TV customers in Ontario, nothing is changing. Bell says current customers will keep their plans, pricing, equipment, billing, support, and Member Benefits.

The move was first confirmed back in October 2025 during Bell’s Investor Day. At the time, Bell said it would stop selling Virgin Plus Internet and TV in Ontario starting January 2026, calling it a shift in how it wants to run its home services business.

Virgin Plus originally launched its Internet and TV services in July 2020. The offering was designed as a simpler, app-based setup with no traditional set-top box, running on Bell’s network. TV service required an eligible unlimited Internet plan with speeds of at least 15 Mbps.

According to a Bell spokesperson in a statement to iPhone in Canada, “Virgin Plus will concentrate on wireless services, while other Bell brands will provide home Internet and TV services to Ontario customers.”
