Stop Buying the iPhone Air at Full Price: Best Buy Canada Just Dropped a Major Deal

If you have been waiting for a discount on Apple’s latest iPhone Air, your patience has paid off. Best Buy Canada has officially started selling Geek Squad Certified Open Box units of the iPhone Air for the first time.

The deal allows shoppers to save $150 off the regular retail price. For example, the 256GB model in Space Black is currently listed at $1,149.99. Since these phones are only a few months old, buyers can expect them to be in like-new condition with very healthy battery life.

Buying ‘Open Box’ at Best Buy is different than buying a used phone from a private seller (like meeting a dude in a dark alley off Facebook Marketplace). These units are Geek Squad Certified, meaning they have been thoroughly tested and cleaned by technicians to ensure they work perfectly. They also come with a warranty of course.

Because the iPhone Air is so new, these specific units likely came from customers who tried the phone for a few days and decided it was not for them. This makes the open box inventory a sweet spot for value, as you get a current-gen device for a lower price than brand new.

This current sale on the iPhone Air is set to end on January 29, 2026. Best Buy is also offering financing options starting at approximately $95.83 per month for 12 months for those who prefer to spread out the cost. Best Buy says these are ‘Selling Fast’ according to the website, so who knows how much longer these will last.

Even at this price it's way too overpriced for what it is. This thing don't worth more than $700 for the 256GB model.
