Apple Reportedly Seeks to Reveal Gemini-Powered Siri Upgrade in February

Apple may be preparing to pull the curtain back on its long-awaited AI-powered Siri upgrade (codename Campos). According to new reports, a demonstration of the Siri refresh may take place in late February.

According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Apple is looking to show off the Siri upgrade, developed in partnership with Google, in “the second half of February.” As part of this, Apple will offer demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of Siri utilizing Gemini’s AI tools.

Gurman continues to state that following Apple’s demo of the upgraded Siri, the new model will become available as part of iOS 26.4. This software is expected to enter its beta phase in February, aligning with the timeline for a proper reveal. Afterwards, iOS 26.4 will become available to the public around March or April.

The full showcase for the new version of Siri won’t be held until later this summer at WWDC 2026. Here, Apple will do a deep-dive into the Gemini-powered capabilities of Apple Intelligence and Siri. The suite of features will then arrive on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, which will release as a beta later in the summer.

Apple’s upgraded Siri and Apple Intelligence was first announced during WWDC 2024. Over time, Apple delayed the release of the Siri refresh after executives left the company, and the company wrestled between using OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini as the framework to the new version of Siri.
