Samsung has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone lineup, likely the Galaxy S26 series, will debut on February 25 during a Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, California. A previously leak that claimed this unveil was coming on February 25 has turned out to be true.

The presentation starts at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on the company’s website and YouTube channel.

The new devices will focus heavily on updated artificial intelligence features. Samsung says the goal for this year’s software is to make AI tools feel more personal and easier to use for daily tasks rather than being separate apps or complicated settings.

Recent leaks provide a clearer picture of what to expect from the Galaxy S26 series beyond the official AI focus. The high-end Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to feature a slightly larger 6.9-inch display and an upgraded Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with some reports suggesting a special variant could be built on an advanced 2nm process for even better efficiency.

For the first time in years, Samsung may finally increase its charging speeds, with the Ultra model expected to support 60W wired charging. While the 200MP main sensor remains, the camera system could see a wider f/1.4 aperture to significantly improve low-light photography. Interestingly, rumours suggest Samsung might skip built-in Qi2 magnetic charging this year to prioritize its “Wireless Power Share” feature, which allows the phone to charge accessories like earbuds

For those planning to buy the new phone, the company is offering several early incentives, which according to its U.S. press release is targeting American buyers (Canadian perks hopefully will be similar). Signing up early on Samsung.com provides a $30 US credit toward a pre-order. Buyers can also save up to $900 US by trading in an old device, or receive a $150 US credit without a trade-in. Also, those who reserve are entered into a draw for a $5,000 US gift card.

Update: Samsung Canada says early sign ups can get a $50 credit towards “a new eligible Galaxy AI phone” and also sign up to win a chance to get 2x BTS concert tickets to their August concert this summer in Toronto.
