Koodo’s Latest ‘Winback’ Plan is $25 for 80GB Data in Canada, US, Mexico

Koodo is reaching out to former customers with a highly aggressive ‘winback’ offer to lure them away from competitors.

According to details shared on Reddit, the Telus flanker brand is offering a $25 per month plan that includes 80GB of 5G data and full roaming capabilities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Yes, that means talk, text and data across North America.

The plan is originally priced at $35 per month, but users can bring the cost down to $25 by setting up an autopay discount tied to a bank account. Beyond the large data bucket and North American roaming, the offer includes a free perk like Rollover Data, along with waived connection and eSIM fees.

“I originally had been a Freedom customer on a $30 Prepaid 70GB Canada-US-Mexico plan. I could not pass up this Koodo offer,” noted one user who successfully snagged the deal after briefly porting out to Fizz. They also highlighted the inclusion of Koodo’s Call Control feature, which helps block automated spam calls.

In some cases, the offer appears to require ‘manager approval’. One customer reported that a representative initially declined the request but called back minutes later to confirm the deal was authorized. To sweeten the move, Koodo has also been seen offering one-time bill credits of $56.50 to cover future costs.

These winback deals are typically not available to the general public and are triggered only after a customer leaves for a rival carrier. However, for those looking to lower their monthly bill while keeping 5G speeds and international roaming, it may be worth keeping an eye on your inbox after switching providers. Or just switch to a prepaid provider temporarily, wait for a winback deal, then switch back, if you have the time.
