Freedom Mobile Launches $29 TV Deal Featuring TSN and Sportsnet

Freedom Mobile has shifted into playoff mode with a new TV promo targeting sports fans just in time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs (which start on April 18).

The company is now offering a combined TV package for $29 per month that includes both TSN and Sportsnet.

The $29 price point is the Starter TV pack with the Sports theme pack. The Starter TV base, which features major Canadian and American networks, is currently discounted to $10 per month after a $9 credit. Adding the Sports theme pack for an additional $19 per month brings the total to $29, a $10 savings from the regular $39 rate.

This package provides coverage for hockey and basketball (NBA playoffs start April 18), offering five TSN feeds (TSN1 through TSN5) and six Sportsnet channels, including Sportsnet One, 360, and regional feeds for Ontario, East, West, and the Pacific.

There is a catch, though. The offer is only available to Freedom Home Internet customers. Freedom TV uses IPTV technology to deliver live channels over an internet connection. This allows users to watch through the Freedom TV app on various devices, including Apple TV, Roku, Android TV, and Chromecast, as well as on mobile phones and tablets.

The service also includes a Look Back feature, which allows viewers to watch shows that aired up to seven days ago, restart live programs from the beginning, or pause and resume live broadcasts.

With Bell’s TSN+ seeing a price increase right before the playoffs, this bundled option provides an alternative for sports fans looking to catch every game of the post-season, without paying for regular TV or cable, if you have Freedom Mobile internet in your area.

It’s a shame that this article reads more like an advertisement for Freedom TV+Internet. The price for the basic TV package has been $10 for several months already with $9 discount applied. And the sports add-on has always been $19 (with $1 discount already applied. Always loved that $1 discount.) It would only be newsworthy if it was CHEAPER than its current price.

I tried this a couple of months ago. Freedom Internet + Sports channels.
Phone support is a nightmare and you cannot get the channels in 4k.
Cancelled.
