Fido Matches Virgin Plus with Price Increase Across All Wireless Plans
Rogers-owned Fido has made changes across the board to its plans list, increasing prices on Saturday.
All plans went up by $5 per month, matching a price increase from rival Virgin Plus (owned by Bell).
Here are Fido’s plans for bring your own device and after autopay:
- $45/20GB (was $40)
- $50/60GB (was $45)
- $55/60GB (was $50) Canada-US-Mexico (roaming just for 12 months)
Fido differentiates its roaming plan from others by limiting it to just 12 months.
The same formula happens every year. Before back to school periods, we’ll see prices increase, the magically come down for promos.
Last month, Rogers and Fido increased prices by $5 for select customers, with some of them being new customers of just three months.

This is what the crtc needs to focus on next
Jon, clearly you live in the clouds or in another reality. The CRTC’s actions are all, with few exceptions are performative. Not sure why I am even mentioning to you because you still live in a delude world. Perhaps in 40 or 50 years you’ll remember this post and come to reality.
This is not news, it’s truism: they all mirror each other.
