Freedom Mobile Just Trimmed Data on Its Plans: Here’s What You Get Now
As expected, Freedom Mobile has continued to make some sweeping changes to its wireless plans. We told you yesterday the company had added expiry labels to its top plans and on Thursday, changes arrived.
Here are Freedom Mobile’s plans for bring your own device and after autopay discounts, as of July 9:
- $35/10GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
- $40/70GB (was 75GB) + 5GB Roam Beyond
- $45/100GB + 5GB Roam Beyond
- $50/150GB (was 175GB) + 10GB Roam Beyond
- $60/200GB (was 250GB) + 20GB Roam Beyond
So what changed? Prices have remained the same, which is a good thing. But data amounts have decreased by 5GB, 25GB and 50GB on the $40, $50 and 60GB plans. There’s still plenty of data available for the average user though. Roam Beyond data amounts did not go down, which is also good.
Like other carriers, plans seemingly get worse in the summer then magically turn into deals once back to school season arrives in August.
Earlier today, we told you how Freedom Mobile recently sent out a survey, asking customers if they would be willing to pay extra per month get basic security features.
