Apple today announced a big update for Apple Creator Studio, its subscription bundle of pro creative apps for Mac, iPad and iPhone. The headline additions are built-in MotionVFX effects in Final Cut Pro and new AI assistants in Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers.
The update hits the App Store in November and is free for existing subscribers. Pricing in Canada stays at $17.99 CAD per month or $179 CAD per year, the same as when Apple first revealed Creator Studio’s Canadian pricing back in January.
Final Cut Pro gets MotionVFX built in
Final Cut Pro for Mac now includes MotionVFX right inside the app. That means thousands of templates, titles, transitions and graphics, plus tools for rotoscoping, tracking and colour grading, without buying separate plug-in packs.
Editors also get Apple’s Content Hub inside Final Cut Pro, with Apple-curated stock video, photos and backgrounds. You can now send any image on your timeline to Pixelmator Pro, edit it, and have the changes save back to your project automatically. There’s text-to-image generation too, more keyframe easing options, the ability to disconnect clips from the primary storyline, and 23 new transcription languages for captions.
Motion picks up MotionVFX plug-ins for colour grading, 3D camera tracking and one-click selection, while Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode video shot on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill
Pixelmator Pro’s big new trick is Generate Fill. Circle part of a photo, describe what you want changed, and the app fills it in while matching the lighting, perspective and texture around it. It builds on the Pixelmator integrations and AI tools Apple added in July.
Logic Pro gets an AI assistant and a Liquid Glass redesign
Logic Pro for Mac and iPad gets a new Liquid Glass design. On the Mac, there’s a new intelligent assistant, in beta, that Apple says is powered by a mix of its own models and OpenAI. It can help start a song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt, or walk you through production steps.
A redesigned Browser pulls loops, instruments and patches into one place and uses on-device audio analysis to tag your sounds, so you can drag in a loop and find matching audio. Stem Splitter can now isolate, replace or rebalance drums, and there’s a new Producer Pack from salsa producer Sergio George.
One catch for Canadians: Apple says the Logic Pro assistant is available in U.S. English only, and requires macOS 27 on an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac.
AI assistants come to Keynote, Pages and Numbers
Subscribers also get an intelligent assistant, also in beta and built on Apple models and OpenAI, inside Keynote, Pages and Numbers. It understands what’s in your document, so it can help design and animate slides, rework written content, or build charts and tables. These assistants are also U.S. English only for now.
There’s also new Model Context Protocol (MCP) support on macOS 27, which lets outside AI agents read and edit content in all three apps. Keynote adds an open, JSON-based .keyx file format, and all three apps get stock video in the Content Hub plus new premium themes and templates. Freeform gets text styles and custom board colours now, with Pixelmator Pro editing and text-to-shape generation coming in December.
Canadian pricing
Apple Creator Studio costs $17.99 CAD per month or $179 CAD per year in Canada, with a one-month free trial for new subscribers. Post-secondary students and educators pay $3.99 CAD per month or $39 CAD per year. Buy a new Mac or eligible iPad and you get three months free. Up to six family members can share the subscription with Family Sharing.
If you’d rather not subscribe, the one-time-purchase Mac versions are still on the Mac App Store in Canada: Final Cut Pro is $399.99 CAD, Logic Pro is $249.99 CAD, Pixelmator Pro, Motion and Compressor are $69.99 CAD each, and MainStage is $39.99 CAD. The free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform aren’t going anywhere either.
Apple Creator Studio first launched in Canada in January, and Apple is calling this its most exciting update since then. The new features roll out in November.
