Are you a Facebook photo sharing junkie? Users of the social networking site upload 6 billion photos and has almost 100 billion photos altogether. Now that’s a lot of pictures of your night out at the bar!
According to TechCrunch, Facebook is set to launch a new photo sharing app for the iPhone. There are signs this app would have integration into the popular Facebook iPhone app and the main site. TechCrunch received 50MB of images and other documents outlining how this app works, and will be posting more images tomorrow.
In the meantime, here’s a peek at what’s to come from this app, codenamed “Hovertown” or “WithPeople” internally at Facebook:
The app looks like a mash up of other photo sharing apps like Color and Instagram. It’ll be interesting to see if and when this app is released. I’m sure Facebook lovers will enjoy something like this.
