RBC Mobile iOS App Now Lets You Report Missing Cards and Get Replacements

Rbc mobile lock report cards

RBC Mobile for iOS was recently updated to allow customers to report their missing cards, directly in the app and avoiding a call to the bank.

“Now you can report your card missing right in the app. Doing so will notify RBC, lock the card, allow you to review unusual transactions, and get a new card delivered to your home,” explains RBC.

The new self-serve option for reporting and locking cards will reduce foot traffic and calls to RBC during COVID-19.

RBC also says it “fixed known issues with Interac e-Transfer, Bill Pay and Request Money,” while you can also now open a Direct Investing account in the app through your TFSA, RRSP or non-registered investment account.

Back in June 2018, RBC Mobile introduced the ability to lock credit cards within the app, but the option to report cards missing still required a phone call to the RBC Advice Centre.

Last fall, CIBC introduced the ability to replace a lost or stolen credit card within its mobile app as well.
