“Funny or Die” Parody Biopic iSteve Teaser Now Live

In a report published by the New York Times, Funny or Die said it plans to unveil its own Steve Jobs movie iSteve on April 15, starring Justin Long, the “I’m a Mac” guy, as the late Apple CEO. Just two weeks ahead of the official release, here is a teaser of the parody Steve biopic (via Apple Insider).

The 94-second trailer focuses on audio clips from the upcoming movie, instead of showing Justin Long, who also starred in the TV series New Girl, and the film DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story, in the title role.

iSteve aims to complement the two documentaries focusing on Steve Jobs due for release. One of them is Ashton Kutcher’s Jobs, which had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, but failed to impress the critics and is now experiencing a delayed public release; and the second is Aron Sorkin’s movie backed by Sony, based on Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography, which is off to a start soon.

Correction: Justin Long was a guest in four episodes of New Girl, not a main character.

The two other movies about Jobs — the Ashton Kutcher movie and the Aron Sorkin — are not “documentaries.” They’re movies.
