2019 Bell Let’s Talk Day Raises $7.2 Million Through 145 Million Social Interactions

Bell has announced the results from their annual Bell Let’s Talk Day, which aims to raise money and awareness towards mental health initiatives.

According to Bell, yesterday saw $7.2 million raised through over 145 million social interactions, with engagement on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat increasing 13% compared to last year. The hashtag #BellLetsTalk was a top trend in Canada and globally.

“What a remarkable day for mental health! Thank you everyone for embracing those who struggle with mental illness, for helping to change attitudes and fight the stigma, and for helping drive Bell’s donations to mental health by making your voice heard,” said Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Let’s Talk, in a statement.

Bell says their total funding for Canadian mental health has now reached $100,659,763.75, with this number including the company’s original $50 million donation back in 2011, when the initiative started.
