Fido, Koodo, Virgin, Rogers, Telus Price Drop iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on Contract
If you’re into signing 2-year contracts, Fido, Koodo and Virgin Mobile have coincidentally (and simultaneously) dropped the price of entry level iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models to the following:
16GB iPhone 5s
- Fido: $180 ($50 off)
- Koodo: $175 ($55 off)
- Virgin Mobile: $179.99 ($50.01 off)
- Fido: $50 ($80 off)
- Koodo: $50 ($80 off)
- Virgin Mobile: $49.99 ($80.01 off)

These subsidized iPhones will require a minimum $80/month Max Plan (unlimited Canada-wide minutes, 500MB data). Virgin Mobile wants customers to know their Platinum Plans come with “Tons of Data” (500MB):

Lately we’ve seen subsidized iPhone prices drop from major carriers and regional ones. Bell was first to drop their iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c prices, and as of today, Rogers and Telus have matched those price drops as well. The wireless tango continues in Canada.
Let us know if you’re going to sign on the dotted line.

No collusion here. Move along. I said, Move along!
yeah wtf. the big three might as well just become one big conglomerate.
Let me know when they drop the prices to equal or better than I had when I got my iPhone 4 when it came out in 2010. To get a plan that is as good as what I pay $60 a month with Telus, I would have to play more than twice that per month now on a two year contract 🙁 I really miss those three year contracts. At least then I could upgrade every three years, no I’m saving up to buy an iPhone unlocked just to keep my plan and in the meantime using a 4 year old phone. Thanks everyone whining about three year contracts. We really showed those cell carriers didn’t we. 🙁
I’m doing exactly the same thing as you.
