Fido Launches New Promos on Standard and Smart Plans Until March 3rd

One week after launching a new $49 Standard Plan and $55 Smart Plan, Fido today has just kicked off new promos for these plans. Below are the changes…

Smart Plans

  • $55 plan adds: unlimited incoming calls (previously 800 minutes), 1GB data (200MB bonus)
  • $65 plan adds: 2GB data (previously 1GB)

Standard Plans

  • $49 plan adds: unlimited incoming calls (previously 800 minutes), 1GB data (200MB bonus)
  • $59 plan adds: 2GB data (previously 1GB)

These ‘promos’ are available until March 3rd. If you’re on one of the old plans, make sure you call in and get the changes made.

Remember, if you bring your own device you can get 10% off your monthly plan. If you add another line to your account (you can add more than one), you can also get 10% off that plan, plus stack an additional 10% off bring your own device discount.

Darn they still haven’t bested the $56 promo plan! I’ve been waiting to see if they eventually will..

If you have been with them a while talk to them and see if you can get it. they let me keep my 6 gig data plan.

What’s the difference between Stand Plans and Smart Plans?

I think the Standard plans give you a $200 device subsidy, whereas the Smart Plans give you a $300 subsidy for ~$6 more per month. However, $6 x 24 > $100, so you’re paying quite a bit extra to save $100 up front.

lol funny got rogers and get unlimited calls Canada wide call display picture and video msg voice mail call display and 2gb 0f data for $60 tax included but i had a credit for the first year for $20 so i payed $40 dollars for the first year tax included but now first year is done now i pay $60 tax included so its still cheaper then fido lol good luck on getting that on fido its cheaper then the old city fido since city fido was $45 plus taxes and no data of and no voice mail or call display lol

I’m not seeing “If you add another line to your account (you can add more than one), you can also get 10% off that plan” on the Fido site. Is that not available in Ontario?

You’re going to have to call in and get this. We’ve added two additional lines to our Fido account, both BYOD, and got the stackable 10% off.
