Telus is offering new customers in B.C. and Alberta promo plan for its Gigabit PureFibre internet, available for $85 per month on a 24-month term, a discount of $70 off the regular price of $155/month.
The Gigabit internet plan offers up to 940 Mbps download and upload speeds, unlimited data usage, includes an Advanced Wi-Fi Modem rental, and a $150 bill credit for online orders.
After 24 months, Telus says the price will be $155/month plus $15/month for unlimited data.
This current Telus promo is also helpful for existing Shaw internet customers out west, to use as leverage for a better or matching internet offer. Shaw currently offers gigabit internet for $115/month on a two-year term (with sad upload speeds of up to 25 Mbps).
Telus recently launched PureFibre 1.5 gigabit Internet earlier this month. The company also launched a lawsuit against its western Canadian rival Shaw, accusing the latter of false advertising with its Fibre+ internet offering.
