It appears we might see an iPad mini refresh this March, according to Japanese site Mac Otakara.
According to information from Chinese suppliers, the site says the next iPad mini (6th gen) will get a larger display, from 7.9-inches up to 8.4-inches.
As for the iPad mini refresh design, it will have a “narrow frame like iPad Air” (3rd gen), while the design will match the upcoming iPad (9th gen) refresh as well. Touch ID and a Lightning port will remain for the iPad mini.
Yesterday Mac Otakara also shared information regarding upcoming iPad Pro models, set to gain a refresh as well, similarly set for March.
The current iPad mini is powered by an A12 Bionic chip and its 7.9-inch Retina display supports True Tone and Apple Pencil. The iPad mini comes in Silver, Space Grey and Gold. Maybe new colours will pop up in 2021 as well?
