‘iPhone 5’ Silicone Sleeves and Case-Mate Inventory Details Appear at AT&T Stores
It appears U.S. wireless carrier AT&T is starting to show some evidence an iPhone 5 is coming our way. Earlier today, BGR posted an image of various ‘iPhone 5’ Case-Mate descriptions appearing in the AT&T inventory database.
Previously, Case-Mate had apparently leaked a page of upcoming next-generation cases, only to have the site taken down. You can see below listings for cases from the Barely There, Pop!, and Touch Case line up in various colours:

TiPB also got word of this similar tip last Saturday–you can compare the images:

Now, MacRumors reports a reader has emailed them photos of silicone cases with stickers that note ‘iPhone 5 Silicone Case’. These cases show the mute switch on the opposite side and also show a tapered design. Take these for what they are, a generic case with a label that says ‘iPhone 5’:

As we round the corner towards next Tuesday, expect more ‘juicy’ leaks to crop up, as always.

I think it’s highly unlikely that AT&T will buy random cases from a manufacturer if they have no idea that it’ll be the right type, potentially wasting tens of thousands (or more) dollars. However I don’t think a case redesign means it’s necessarily a major step, they might not change anything inside, but it does say iPhone 5 on the case though, so I have no idea 🙂
