Apple has made iOS 4.2 Gold Master (GM) available for download in the Developer Centre. Apple has stated that iOS 4.2 would ship in November, unifying iOS for all iDevices. With the passcode security flaw still existent, we can expect the final version of iOS 4.2 to be released soon (Apple acknowledged the flaw and promised a fix in 4.2).
The current version is build 8C134 and available for the iPad, iPhone 3G/3GS/4, and iPod touch 2G/3G/4G. Stay tuned to see what the final GM seed of iOS 4.2 will include.
There was also a release of a new version of Xcode and iOS 4.2 SDK as well. Expect the final release of iOS 4.2 to come next week at the earliest. How many of you are excited to test out AirPlay with your Apple TV?

Unless Apple sneaks in something nice in 4.2 like they did with HDR with 4.1…. I’m in no rush to update just to get AirPrint, and Find Text in Safari…. I wouldn’t be interested in the other features.
