iPhone 5 Pre-Order on Sept. 30th with an October 7th Launch?

More reports have come regarding the iPhone 5 launch, this time 9to5Mac claims sources have provided them with information regarding the launch, similar to what we’ve heard from TiPB.

According to our sources, Apple has been weighing between launching the new iPhone on October 7th or October 14th, but with the product’s latest stages of pre-mass-production currently moving along nicely, Apple is presently shooting towards a launch on the 7th. On top of this, unlike with the iPad 2, Apple plans to offer pre-orders for the new iPhone.

This date also coincides with what an adamant Kara Swisher continues to mention to everyone about an October release. Take this for what it is, but all dates seem to be later into September and early October, as other reports from Digitimes have also mentioned.

Preorders are good, since I’ll be ordering straight from Apple. (My 3G is sooooo slow.)

if apple allows us to pre-order online and have the phone shipped right to our doorsteps, that’d be pretty damn awesome,  not worrying about lining up, or shortages

If I had a nickel for every release date that’s been ‘announced’ on a blog over the last few months, I could afford an early upgrade.

I bought a case, I just don’t think after their horrible production why buy another one. No attempt even to fix the white one at least.

Good insult, how is it cheap if it’s free…if I were cheap as you put it, wouldn’t I be running for a free bumper. Guess you don’t think things through.

I was merely taking sean’s point further, in that even though the “case program” had ended, every iphone 4 user can acquire a free bumper if they call apple, so yes I guess its me that didn’t think things through…

 bazinga to crosseyed_mofo and Sean!!!

sorry gtasscarlo but if you didnt get an iPhone 4 because of the “antennae” issue then you must be from the US. there was no antennae issue here in canada. i never came across any of those issues one bit after this whole year of having an iPhone 4.

your choice not to get the phone but dont blame it on an issue that never WAS an issue up in canada, unless of course you are from the US then i understand.

anyways im no apple fan boy, not by a long shot but dont bash things til you actually know what you are talking about. just sayin!!!

Is this idea still effective as of Apple’s recent announcement of an upcoming media event (and presumably iPhone 5 announcement) October 4th?
