New Exploits Unveiled At MyGreatFest, Untethered Jailbreak For iOS 5 Devices Including iPad 2 Is Coming

A couple of days back, Chronic Dev Team member @pod2g revealed how their team was closing in on an untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5 on all current devices, though it won’t be released until after the public release of iOS 5. But now at MyGreatFest, the world’s first iOS jailbreak convention, another key member of his team @P0sixninja has announced that almost 5 new jailbreak exploits have been discovered in iPad 2 which can possibly be used in the next generation iPhone as well. This means, as soon as iOS 5 / iPhone 5 go public, the hackers will be ready to test and possibly unveil their next big jailbreak solution right away.

According to Redmond pie:

The exploits were discovered by the Chronic Dev Team. A key member of the team itself namely: P0d2g, found exploits like 24kpwn, steaks4uce and also discovered an exploit in the Apple A4 chip, used in iPhone 4, original iPad and iPod touch 4G. p0d2g and p0sixninja are members of the Chronic Dev Team, who were the key developers/hackers behind the famous jailbreak tool Greenpois0n.

Since the jailbreak will be userland, it will work on all iOS devices on all exploit-ready iOS versions, and as mentioned earlier, get an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 at launch.

Representing the Chronic Dev Team, P0sixninja also said “it will the most amazing jailbreak yet!”
