Citing updated information from his sources, Apple leaker Jon Prosser has today claimed in a series of Tweets that Apple will not be announcing its upcoming ‘AirPods Studio’ high-end headphones during October 13’s special event.
Previously, the rumoured headphones were expected to release alongside the iPhone 12 lineup but now, Prosser is saying that mass production of the ‘AirPods Studio’ headphones will complete by Oct. 20. “It has now been confirmed to me from 3 sources that AirPods Studio will NOT be in the event.”
“I suppose they could still announce them at the October 13th event and ship them at the end of this month or beginning of next,” he wrote on Twitter.
2. As I mentioned a couple days ago — AirPods Studio mass production isn’t completed until 10/20 — which leaves them with a few options. (Screenshot below).

Apple’s rumoured ‘AirPods Studio’ headphones are expected to feature “high-quality leather or metal”, magnetic ear cups, will be reversible, won’t have a headphone jack, and will have USB-C.
