Apple Stores in the Greater Toronto Area to Reopen on June 29

Apple store cleanings

Apple Canada has confirmed its retail stores in the Greater Toronto Area will all be reopened by Monday, June 29, 2020.

BlogTO reports a spokesperson for Apple says all stores will open in the GTA by next Monday and will have “significant safety measures” implemented, as per other Apple Stores already reopened across Canada.

The following stores will reopen on Monday:

  • Apple Square One – Mississauga
  • Apple Eaton Centre – Toronto
  • Apple Fairview – Toronto
  • Apple Sherway Gardens – Toronto
  • Apple Yorkdale – Toronto

By June 29, this means every single Apple Store in Canada will have reopened, since being temporarily closed in mid-March due to coronavirus.

Apple will perform touchless temperature checks on customers before they enter, while also provide face masks if a customer does not already have one available. Employees will also be wearing face masks while stores will have deep cleanings throughout the day.

Earlier this month, Apple Stores reopened in Ontario (except the GTA) and Quebec, while back in May locations in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia reopened.

Apple Stores are currently also offering curbside pickup and drop off, for those avoiding malls and stores due to COVID-19.
